My VAT number has changed. Why am I being charged an operating fee again?
When a VAT number is updated or replaced, our system treats this as a new merchant. Even if you are simply updating your VAT number and nothing else changes for you, we need to create a new Bancontact Pro account on our end, which involves various necessary administrative checks and data processing.
It is precisely for this administration and management of your Bancontact Pro account that the operating fee was introduced. We therefore charge a new operating fee when a VAT number is changed.
